Our Mission
Our mission is to help LGBTQ+ individuals navigate the coming out or gender transition process in order to fully realize and celebrate their authentic selves, and to help their families and loved ones learn how to best support and affirm them in this process.
Prism Counseling & Support LLC offers individual and group counseling for members of the LGBTQ+ community and those who support them. In addition, we organize social and community building events. We offer professional development training for schools, medical practices, and professional organizations about the issues facing LGBTQ+ individuals and how to create safe working and learning environments for all.

Meet our new clinician Dana Walker, LMSW (she/her).
Hello! My name is Dana Walker, and I am proud to be a part of the Prism Counseling team! I hold Masters degrees in Social Work (2025) and Music, Mind, and Brain (2020); plus a Bachelors in Behavioral Neuroscience (2019). My approach is rooted in understanding the interaction between a person, their brain, and their environment. I work with folks who are navigating depression, anxiety, and life changes. I also have a strong background in case management and support folks with increasing independence in the community or accessing social services. I am very passionate about helping create safe, empowering spaces for the LGBTQ+ community. I look forward to supporting you in becoming your best self!

Molly McCue
Meet Practicum Student Molly McCue (she/her). Molly will be with us for the Fall 2026 semester.
Hey all! I am currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sacred Heart University. I earned my undergraduate degree at Mount Holyoke College where I majored in Critical Social Thought—an interdisciplinary program that examines how social structures, power, culture, and systems of inequality shape people’s experiences and society.
I have extensive experience working with kids, teens, and young adults, particularly in outdoor settings. I’ve run numerous trainings for adults on working effectively with children, the importance of play, leadership, and understanding behavior and conflict.
I love being a queer woman, and I love that a space like Prism exists. I am grateful for the opportunity to do my practicum here in this amazing space with these amazing people!
We are so excited to announce that we have signed a lease on a beautiful space in Thomaston to open our SECOND LOCATION! Once again, we are opening in a rural area where there are very few existing supports for the queer community.
We will plan to begin seeing clients in this new location starting in late summer, and we are already accepting clients who are interested in joining our waiting list for the new location.
